Seth, Melie and Yaga are discussing the morals and the intents of the inquisition organization. Meanwhile, one of the soldiers under Captain Dragunov leadership is questioning the unreliability of his captain and disappointed of his carefree personality. The squad receives an emergency signal from Captain Edmund squad asking for help after being attacked by Nemesis. They rush to help them to discover that the needed help is actually, repairing their air-ship and that Captain Edmund has let the Nemesis go because he is more concerned with delivering the cargo of imprisoned sorcerers that he has arrested. However, Captain Dragunov and his squad go after the Nemesis and save the village that it was about to attack, and when they returned, the expose the cowardice of Captain Edmund and expose his schemes to get promotions by arresting ordinary people and claiming that they are sorcerers.

There is festival in Artemis and Seth and Melie are considering to participate in a broom race to win ten million dimes. Seth meets Nick, the champion of the previous broom races, who makes fun of Alma and challenging Seth to win the race to prove that his teacher is worthy. However, Seth loses the race because he abandons it to save the falling competitors.

Burdened by his debt, the doc starts looking for a job where he comes across a request to hunt a Nemesis in the Rumble Town. Seth and Melie insists that they go to hunt it. However, the doc is scared and refusing to accept the request, but to impress Miss Melba, he accepts and they travel to the Rumble Town to hunt the nemesis. As they are trying to hunt the Nemesis, they are encountered by a sorcerer called The Grimm who attacks them because he thinks they are working with the Nemesis. Seth and Melie are reported to Captain Konrad who is in charge for the Rumble Town because of the ruckus they have made.

Captain Dragunov visits Captain Konrad and tells him that orders came from superior to neglect the ruckus caused by Seth and his friends. Meanwhile, Seth, Melie and the doc are sneaking their way to Zeda's house, the one who sent them the Nemesis hunt request. Taj, a boy who encountered the Nemesis and escaped with a curse, guides them to the site where he encountered the Nemesis. They wait until the area is evacuated so that the Echo Nemesis started to appear. They managed to capture three of them, but then once again, attacked by The Grimm.
