Glitter, Parties, and Gunfire: Adventures in Liberty City "The Ballad of Gay Tony" is an exciting expansion for "GTA IV" that brings a splash of color, nightlife, and over-the-top fun to the otherwise gritty world of Liberty City. The storyline is as tangled as a subway tunnel map but still manages to be gripping. You play as Luis Lopez — a bodyguard and part-time confidant to the city’s legendary nightclub king, Tony Prince. The plot has it all: betrayals, endless gang confrontations, and a whole lot of chaos. At times, it feels like Luis has a more stressful life than all the characters in the main game combined. The graphics remain mostly unchanged from the original "GTA IV". Nothing groundbreaking, but Liberty City is still a blast to cruise through, both day and night. The visuals are atmospheric — the city feels alive with lights, color, and energy. The controls are just as responsive and familiar as before, especially if you’ve recently played the main game. Gunfights are intense, but never frustrating enough to make you want to smash your keyboard. The new vehicles are a standout — cool rides for every taste. Cars, motorcycles, and even a helicopter (which I don’t remember from the base game) make an appearance. Plus, there are extra activities like nightclub dancing and underground fighting. Love it or not, Liberty City feels refreshed. The missions can be total chaos, but they’re fun to watch — and even more fun to dive into. In the end, "The Ballad of Gay Tony" is a fantastic add-on. It’s flashy, wild, and just the right kind of ridiculous. If you’re itching to revisit Liberty City with a fresh dose of action and glam, it’s absolutely worth checking out. 7 out of 10
