In the year 2030, the Beilan Island Incident causes global land contamination and severely reduces the world population. In response to shortages in manpower, humanity creates Autonomous Dolls: highly advanced androids with superior strength and advanced AI capable of expressing emotions. Furthermore, during World War 3 (2045 to 2051), PMCs (private military companies) develop Tactical Dolls: Autonomous Dolls with the ability to fight. Acquiring great wealth from the war, these companies become the de facto police and military of many nations.

During this era of waning government power, Tactical Dolls of Sangvis Ferri (the world's largest PMC) suddenly kill their human masters and attack nearby human settlements. In response, Grifon & Kryuger PMC and their Tactical Dolls are hired to stop and contain the Sangvis Ferri forces.
