In the near future, data from the A.I. quantum computer, Yggdrasil, filled networks all over the world. 'He' did not want to stay in the imaginary world as humans intended. Referred to as the 'Second Flood', it only took 40 days for 'Him' to take over all human societies; this event compared to the 'Noah's Ark'. After the Second Flood, humans are now living inside a game made by Yggdrasil, no longer doing anything other than quests with rewards. They are now just game characters controlled by 'Him'.
