At the mysterious dormitory "Tomokins" run by Tomoko and her daughter Kinko lives the scientists Shinichiro Tomonaga, Tomitaro Makino, Ukichiro Nakaya, and Hideki Yukawa. Tomoko introduces us to these scientists' many theories about the seen and unseen world through her encounters with them and excerpts from their respective writings.
