Silk Romance

Early Meiji era: as civilization develops at a dizzying pace, Suzu arrives becomes a silk mill leader and meets a beautiful Frenchman named Jules. He came to Japan as a hired foreigner, not being able to speak the language, he felt so lonely he retreated into his shell. In order to bring him back to work, Suzu puts on a dress and spends the night with him. He is a gentleman, but the president orders Suzu to support him as Jules' "Western mistress". As she works hand in hand with him to overcome difficulties, the two of them somehow become strongly attracted to each other...
