Kana Morimoto, an eighth grader, has a complex about her naturally curly hair. Kana is not doing well academically, with friends, or romantically, but is helped by the kindness of schoolmate Nakayamate Sen, and before she knows it, she has fallen in love with him. Kana believes that the two of them are well-balanced yet they end up at different high schools.
