14-year-old Nico Hayashi dreams of becoming a fortune teller or a spy, but until then, she hones her people-reading by working at a phone-dating service. After a yakuza boss notices her keen insight, he begins to offer Nico odd jobs, which she enthusiastically accepts. Giving herself the codename "Sexy Voice", and dragging along Iichiro "Robo" Sudo — a hapless twenty-something obsessed with toy robots and her one-time client — Nico takes her first steps into a bigger world.
