Edo has been protected for many generations by a secret family of priests and priestesses from supernatural creatures intending to harm the citizens of the city. Teenage girl Futen Orie is the newest priestess to be given the important task of defeating and purifying the city of danger. With the help of her two summoned spirits, Shiroko, the easy going drunk, and Hozuku, the ever so serious one, they work in the cover of the night. However, to complicate Orie’s life even further, she has a crush on her childhood friend, Torakichi who works as one of the city’s peacekeepers. Orie has to juggle between keeping her identity secret, destroying monsters and the hardest of them all, developing her romantic life.
