The hero's life, as it turns out, is not simple
The continuation of "Iron Man" did not have to wait long. Just a couple of years, and the picture saw the light. And it turned out to be very worthy, not inferior to the first. More heroes, funnier jokes, the plot is not bad.
I like the problem statement in this movie. I clearly followed the idea of the creators that checking the hero's fame can be quite difficult for the hero himself. Tony tries to create new things, to help humanity, as he learned in the previous film, but it's still difficult for him, he often slips into ordinary parties, believing that in fact he has no problems with alcohol and relationships with surrounding loved ones. And they are. And looking at how Stark behaves, a negative attitude towards his person is involuntarily manifested for his often boorish behavior. And it immediately shifts to actor Robert Downey Jr. What does that mean? So the viewer associates Tony with Robert. This is a good actor's performance.
Scarlett Johansson perfectly joins in, demonstrating good athletic training and even some brutality of her character. Pepper Potts is still the same correct and serious, and the hero of Jon Favreau creates an atmosphere of something warm and homely, so to speak. He is a kind of glue of this whole company, striving to keep track of everything and be aware of events.
There are two antagonists in the film at once. And they are perfectly shown by Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell. Sam's Hammer is a kind of tycoon who controls everything, but in fact he is weak. You constantly wonder how such a person could reach such heights, which takes him a little out of the context of the narrative. Danko from Rourke represents evil. He is vindictive, cold-blooded, ready to destroy Stark and his loved ones.
The film looks in one breath. He is impetuous, quickly moves from one action to another. The characters are colorful, the effects are beautiful, the shots are very well staged, which is the merit of actor and director Jon Favreau. The second film specifically surpasses the first. Here is a driving plot that does not deviate from showing the formation of the hero at the very beginning, but develops the main character. The film has excellent sound and music, a powerful cast. And I want to watch this movie again and again, because the characters are alive, often funny. This is a modern entertainment film with a certain amount of drama. And what's good about Marvel is that they perfectly balance between drama and comedy.
