A cartoon that predicts a difficult future
The cartoon "WALL-I" is very important for everyone to watch, because it touches on another important topic. The topic of pollution of the planet. And human activity may well lead to sad consequences, which we see through the eyes of a funny robot in a cartoon.
The plot tells about the difficult fate of the Earth after people permanently clogged it, and they themselves disappeared into the vastness of space. A small robot "WALL-I" is a cleaner who cleans up after people as much as possible in conditions of widespread landfill. In parallel, he finds a variety of things that were left behind by humanity. And so it goes on for a long time until he meets "EVE".
The picture is so realistic that it seems as if you look out into the street now, and there you will see this mountain of garbage that is present in the film. The creators did everything with great dedication. It's very nice to watch. I especially like how the emotions of robots are conveyed. They are very natural. This has always amazed me in such cartoons. The creators draw so that the pictures seem to come to life.
What else I really like is the transfer of emotions, moods without dialogues between the main characters. This is another manifestation of the skill of the creators of the cartoon.
A separate topic is the appearance of people in the frame. This is quite an expected, albeit somewhat exaggerated, future of humanity, which increasingly trusts its life to computers and machines, doing less and less physically themselves. And this is another problem raised by the cartoon. But the cartoon seems to be for children. But adults are required to view it.
You can find everything here. It's not for nothing that "WALL-I" won the Oscar for best animated film. This is a beautiful picture, a great "game" in the frame, an important problem that is covered in a decent way. And it is served in an accessible way for millions of viewers. If we pay attention to the pollution happening around us today, then tomorrow we will not become the people that are shown in Stanton's painting.
