A league we didn't deserve The ending of "Batman v Superman" set the tone for the future of the DC film universe. Fans were expecting something dark, interesting and really worthwhile. But we didn't get what we wanted. Unfortunately. The great one. There was a lot of talk after the release of the team action movie. They continue years later. It is important to say that the film was shot by Zack Snyder, but then Joss Whedon came and redid a lot. And such rotations could not but affect the final version of the blockbuster. Changes in tonality, colors, music and dialogues are felt almost with the change of each scene. The beginning is purely Snyder. The credits and the song are very worthy. But the further events develop, the less I, as a spectator, liked it. The film was slipping into a kind of attempt to turn a team superhero action movie into a kind of "Avengers" from Marvel. And this attempt was a failure. There are practically no strong scenes. The most memorable with the return of Superman. And that's only because it's always interesting to see a beautiful staging of the clash of heroes among themselves. In this regard, the actors' performance is not even remembered. Honestly. There are sluggish attempts to imagine the Flash performed by Ezra Miller as a kind of joker responsible for humor. Frankly weak. You can laugh a couple of times, but no more. Affleck and his Batman are kind of bland compared to the previous movie. His motivation disappeared somewhere, and with it the brutality that Snyder created. Momoa and Aquaman appear as if a certain narrow-minded inhabitant of the seas, whose motivation is not much revealed. Wonder Woman, which Gal Gadot demonstrates, is also weak. She tries to help Bruce assemble a team, acts as a kind of glue, but there is no strength in her. The villain Steppenwolf turned out to be insipid, a kind of liquidator without meaningful motivation, whom you do not understand and know what he is fighting for. I don't want to talk about the others. If you watch the movie as a separate blockbuster, then you may well like it, but when you have already seen the previous pictures and are waiting for something much bigger, you inevitably get disappointed. And this is understandable. After all, several directors worked on the picture, the script was redrawn, the plot changed. All this literally takes you from frame to frame. The result was the failure of the picture and, as at that time, everyone believed that the cinematic universe was coming to naught. The Justice League does not reveal the huge potential that is invested in it. And there are hardly any fans of this film, even among the fans of the heroes. 6 out of 10
