François, a 50-year-old screenwriter whose career is on the decline, cynically ticks the "transgender" box to secure funding for his latest TV series project. When, against all odds, his plan works and his project is accepted, he finds himself having to portray… Françoise, an author beginning her transition. Unable to fulfill the required role, he must team up with Sarah, a real trans writer. As Françoise, François finally achieves success.
