Jackie Chan and Jackie Chan
Films with Jackie Chan are like a separate genre of art. Especially his early works, which include the wonderful film "Twin Dragons". Why does the audience love the films of the great master Jackie? For simplicity, good-quality specific humor, for cool tricks and, of course, for a lot of battle scenes where each blow has its own specific whiplash sound. Such an atmosphere immediately sends you somewhere far away into childhood, where after watching the movie, every boy was ready to repeat everything that happened on the screen.
This picture is also different in that the actor played two roles at once. His characters are understandably similar to each other (they are twins), like two drops of water, but at the same time, Chan's excellent game is clearly visible, because I, as a viewer, see the difference between the characters well, definitely realizing that one or the other hero is in front of me. Of course, the characters are completely opposite personalities: one of them is a martial artist and a kind of bully, and the second is a famous musician, positive from all sides. Such a contrast between the characters made it easier to show both characters to one Chan, but Jackie's acting merits are not to be taken.
The picture is good and dynamic. You root for each main character, you sympathize with both. The resourcefulness of the screenwriters and the implementation of a variety of non-trivial situations allows you to enjoy literally every scene of this picture. The film is designed to give the audience pleasure, make watching simple, interesting and necessarily exciting. The paintings with Jackie Chan do not work otherwise.
I liked the acting of the actresses. Nina Lee Chi and Maggie Chun made a decent company for the characters played by Jackie Chan. Two diverse characters, which were embodied on the screen by the actress, allowed us to add a couple more points of comicality. The girls, in my opinion, bring an element of romance to this film.
The painting is sure to please even those who are not fans of Jackie Chan's work. This film is filled with everything that is so typical of the films of a famous actor. However, the most important thing, in my opinion, is precisely the atmosphere of lightness and a certain fantasticism, because we, as viewers, necessarily allow free interpretations of certain events of the film for the sake of watchability. All this makes the action comedy "Twin Dragons" so vivid and memorable.
