The Origin of Wolverine The trilogy about the X-Men turned out to be quite interesting and watchable. Each of the films raised one or another theme of the universe of mutants who tried to build their lives in the human world. However, after the end of the third film "The Last Stand", one of the topics remained clearly undisclosed. The theme of Logan's origin, which has been talked about so much in the second film of the franchise. And it seems that the creators decided to please the audience by telling a separate story about Wolverine from the very childhood of the mighty hero to the time when we got to know him as he appeared in the first film of the trilogy. It should be noted that, on the whole, the film came out well. The narration and the shift of focus to the story of the beloved Logan played a positive role. There is a lot of Wolverine-style humor in the film, a lot of new interesting characters, as well as the disclosure of a line with a military man named William Stryker, who was perfectly shown by Brian Cox in "X2 People". Here, the young version was presented to the audience by Danny Huston. But his Striker seemed to me a less impressive character. Cox was much more convincing and colorful. Although it could well have been the idea of the authors — to show the military is not yet so confident and omnipotent, which he will become only after a while. The picture elegantly brings the story to the moment of Logan's formation as an adamantium monster, it seems, even almost frame-by-frame reproducing flashback scenes from the second film of the franchise. This arch turned out to be very strong and interesting. Another important story is the story of the confrontation between Logan and his brother Sabertooth Victor Creed. On the screen, this image has already been embodied in the first movie by the giant Tyler Main. However, in that film, the audience did not reveal the relationship of the characters in any way. I think there were no such thoughts then. However, in the new film, an excellent actor Liev Schreiber, who is well known for the "Scream" trilogy by Wes Craven, tried on the image. Schreiber embodied a truly dangerous and intractable antagonist who seeks the joy of life in cruelty and sometimes does not care who is in front of him: a human or a mutant. Their confrontation with Logan and pretentious dialogues make the picture even more interesting. The creators tried to cram a lot of other characters into the picture. It didn't work out very well, just like in "X-Men: The Last Stand." There are a lot of heroes, they are given very little time, sometimes it seems that many characters are here just for the sake of a tick and do not carry a special semantic load. The favorite hero of many, Deadpool, was generally disfigured, having absolutely nothing to do with the canon, and the Gambit rather simply declared itself in order to appear sometime in future projects. But this, as we now know, did not happen. Although the project management had such plans. I liked the picture as a whole. Logan was discovered from the other side. We were shown how this mutant was a beast all his life, but thanks to true love he was able to become much more human, learned to love and be a support for his family. However, the film clearly demonstrates that no matter how much he keeps the beast somewhere deep inside, he still won't succeed. And even if the beast is still ready to break out, he will do it not because of something, but rather in spite of it. "Wolverine" is a worthy picture created by skillful directors. A strong and vibrant action movie based on comic books. This film is sure to please with the disclosure of many previously unknown moments in the life of mutants and, in particular, Wolverine. The picture offered a new narrative format that focused on one character, and the beloved Logan, it seems, launched his own franchise, which still had to play its role in the general film universe of mutants. 9 out of 10
