When your song is like a cry from the soul Lin-Manuel Miranda's film "Tick-tick… Boom!" was viewed by me as part of an introduction to the nominees for the Oscar 2022 in the Best Actor category. I really supported the very charismatic and bright actor Andrew Garfield here. The young man has long established himself as an emotional, deep and memorable artist. This musical film only allowed me to see this once again. Garfield plays a real person named Jonathan Larson, a composer who has gone through an amazing and exhausting path of his formation. The film tells about the most difficult and most interesting moments of a man's life. However, the material is presented in the format of a musical, which makes it possible to see colorful performances in the frame and enjoy amazing musical compositions. The film comes out sincere and very warm, heavy and sometimes cruel. You can't take away the most important thing. The story that the creators show us is sure to goosebumps through the nerve, which we see on the screen thanks not only to the excellent script and production, but also to the grandiose acting. I really remember Andrew Garfield, Robin Dejesus, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, Alexandra Shipp. The film not only shows the life of composer Larson, but also raises very important questions of existence. For example, the musical makes you wonder who you are in this modern world, when you are almost 30 years old. What have you achieved by this age? And what is generally considered an achievement? It is clear that each viewer will honestly answer these questions to himself, because there is no true criterion for evaluating a person's success or failure. The main thing is how you feel yourself, how you see your prospects. So the characters of the film are sometimes torn apart, trying to achieve certain peaks in their world, sometimes not realizing that perhaps all these peaks are essentially imposed by society, and specifically the heroes do not need them. To feel the whole nerve of this work, it is necessary to accept the utopian rules of the project presented. Even though this picture is based on the real life of a certain person, much of what is shown here is something surreal, which sometimes makes you wonder how much of this could have happened at all. However, we must not forget that an artistic work is also artistic. There are embellishments here and there, a special gloss that will make everything look great. But you should always read between the lines, right? After all, it was then and thanks to such works that a person can quite see himself and his life from the outside. That's what it is — reflection. You need to learn to enjoy what is happening in your life, because she is alone, she will not ask whether to go further or stop so that you tune in to the positive. Be able to live today and go forward and up. That's what this movie teaches. "Tick-tick… Boom!" stays in my soul for a long time, probably forever. The film taught you to look at things differently, to be much kinder and more positive, to go towards your dream, to love people close to you, perceiving them differently, because it is a blessing, and it is necessary to remain human. This is a bright adventure in which excellent actors and staging, gorgeous tracks and a storm of emotions are waiting for you. In the finale, I believe everyone will be able to responsibly say that the time spent watching this movie was used wisely. 10 out of 10
