Guy Gilles

Guy Gilles born Guy Chiche (25 August 1938 - 3 February 1996) was a French film director.

His first feature film, L'Amour à la mer (1962), starred Juliette Greco, Romy Schneider and Jean-Pierre Léaud. Patrick Jouan featured in many of his films. He also worked for television with productions such as Dim, Dam, Dom and Pour le plaisir. His latest films include Le Crime d'amour (1982), with Richard Berry and Jacques Penot, and Nuit docile (1987). He caught AIDS in the late 1980s, and in experiencing difficulties with production, he struggled to complete Néfertiti, la fille du soleil in 1994 which was released in 1996 on the year of death.
