Gou Tanabe made his professional debut in 2001 with his work "Sunakichi" and won the Afternoon Shiki Award Jury's Special Award. Since his manga "The Outsider", he has been enthusiatically working on comicalizing H.P. Lovercraft's works. His manga has been highly acclaimed internationally, and his work "Maken Lovecraft Kessakushuu" was nominated for the US Eisner Award.
