The mystery of Carlo's murder and her confusing and frustrating love affair with Commissioner Luca Benvenuto push Inspector Anna Gori to throw herself headlong into the search for a mysterious Russian woman linked to Carlo for reasons still unknown. The investigation leads her to a Russian restaurant where she meets Dorian, a charming and gallant Hungarian who, struck by her beauty, invites her to meet again. Anna, under a false identity, accepts the invitation.
While inspectors Lorenzo and Elena are dealing with the case of attempted poisoning of a black priest that occurred during mass in a parish in Tuscolano, inspector Anna Gori, frustrated by her relationship with Luca, continues to investigate Katarina Leventaggi, discovering that Carlo had given her emergency medical assistance.
